Transit Systems

SDI has successfully refurbished and updated several APM systems built by others.

Services offered include:

• Station and Structural guideway renovation
• Propulsion conversion from DC drives systems to variable frequency AC drives
• Design and installation of failsafe emergency braking system installation
• Upgrading control systems from all manual to semi-automated or fully automated controls
• Cabin refurbishment or replacement including complete HVAC systems

SDI has successfully refurbished a total of six systems including the Bronx Zoo Monorail, the Hilton Waikoloa Tram in Hawaii, the Bellagio people mover system in Las Vegas, the cable propelled system in Prim Nevada, the Seattle monorail and the Pearl Ridge system in Hawaii.
